How to update the client:
PC: After closing the current game, reopen the launcher and click Update;
iOS: Enter the App Store and click Update;
Android: After entering the game, follow the pop-up prompts in the game to complete the update;
PS5 or PS4: Open the system interface – select Genshin Impact – press the OPTIONS button on the controller – select Confirm Upgrade;

This update content:
1. New area
Open a new area – “Fontaine”
The sea on the ground, the source of all waters – stories that have never been heard of, legends that have long been forgotten are like a lost country that has sunk to the bottom of the water, eager for tourists. Follow the direction of the water, cross the wilderness, deep forests and sand sea, and you will arrive at the source of the continental water system.
At the top of the waterfall and in the depths of the sea city on the plateau, a new chapter of adventure quietly begins.
◇New areas: In version 4.0, the Fontaine area will open the “Fontaine District”, “Cangjing District” and “Bailu District”. ※After completing the Demon God Quest Prologue Act 3 “Dragon and Freedom Song”, a teleportation anchor point in Xumi “Floating Garden” will be automatically unlocked (travelers who have completed the relevant Demon God Quest before the version update will also unlock the anchor point after the version update), and travelers can use this anchor point to go to the Fontaine area. When the anchor point is automatically unlocked, the traveler will also receive the original stone reward for unlocking the anchor point.

“Fontaine’s Blessing”
The strange power flowing from the statue blesses the traveler with the water of the alien sea source.
As long as they are in the water of the Fontaine Lake, the traveler can pass unimpeded.
※Currently, the small props equipped by the character cannot be used when moving in the water. After the character enters the water, these small props will have the problem of not displaying the icon; this problem will cause the traveler to be unable to quickly switch to other props. Travelers who need to switch to other small props can currently replace them in the backpack; or quickly switch to small props that can be used in the water before moving in the water. This problem will be fixed in subsequent versions.

“Lujing Fountain”
After throwing the “Water Seal” obtained during adventures in various places in Fontaine into the Lujing Fountain outside the Opikle Opera House, you can upgrade its level and obtain valuable supplies.
Unlocking conditions of the “Lujing Fountain” system (any of the following conditions can be met):
?Enter a certain range of “Lujing Fountain”
?Complete the Demon God Quest Chapter 4·Act 1 “Prologue to White Dew and Black Tide”
Fontaine Reputation System
◇Conditions for unlocking Fontaine reputation:
?Complete the Demon God Quest Chapter 4·Act 2 “Light Rain Falling as if for No Reason”
?Complete the quest “Interview with the ‘Steam Bird News’”
By talking to specific NPCs in the Fontaine area, you can accept quests and increase your reputation. After the reputation level is increased, various reputation rewards will be unlocked!
New content such as exploration dispatch and daily commissions in the Fontaine area has been added.
